Hi. I’m Tyra Jones. I went to NC State (go pack baby) and feel like I got the best of both worlds getting to stay in Raleigh and do Fellows. I’m so grateful for the preexisting community I have in Raleigh, and for these new friends I get to do life with this year!!
After RUNNING to write my first blog a little behind schedule, I sit here and cant help but smile while reading my fellow fellows’ stories and insights from the past few weeks. In our own particular ways, many of us have shared how different this group is from each other. I can’t lie, it was the thing I was most afraid of coming in, yet the thing I have found the most joy in as a Raleigh Fellow (so far)😇
It doesn’t make sense, it feels somewhat counterintuitive and yet, we have been vibing since #day1. Truly only one God can bring a group of 10 freaks (it’s a group joke, don’t worry) together and have us gel so seamlessly. I’m very grateful I get to be challenged in this way, learning how God uses each of our gifts to make a Kingdom impact. I love my freaky fellows. Heart eyes.

I have already told multiple people that this is the best thing I’ve ever done. And we are barely a month in. I’m JUMPING with eagerness to see what the Lord does in each of our lives this year. And how many people I can throw off of a jetski.
